terms of service — concierge
last updated: august 10, 2026
these terms of service govern the use of the tourism and cultural concierge service offered by Atilebart Group Sarl under the Ouidah Origins brand. they complement our legal notice and privacy policy, and apply to any paid service request initiated through our concierge form.
service description
the concierge service covers, depending on your request: trip preparation and support for travel to Ouidah and Benin, genealogical research and introductions to local sources and contacts, tailor-made cultural and heritage programme design, and related logistics (accommodation, local transport, interpretation). the exact content of each service is defined case by case based on your initial request and confirmed before any commitment.
pricing
the price of each service is established through a personalized quote, based on the nature, duration, and complexity of your request. no payment is required before a detailed quote has been provided to you and expressly accepted.
how the service works
- you submit your request through our concierge form, with as much useful detail as possible
- we review your request and get back to you to clarify your expectations, with no commitment
- we provide you with a detailed quote specifying the content, timeline, and price of the service
- the service begins after express acceptance of the quote and, where applicable, payment of the agreed deposit
obligation of means
Ouidah Origins commits to deploying the necessary means — documentary research, introductions to local contacts, logistical coordination — to address your request seriously and professionally.
for genealogical research services in particular, this commitment covers the means deployed, not a guaranteed outcome: we cannot guarantee finding a specific family lineage, the existence or accessibility of archival documents, or the outcome of a historical search. the limits and uncertainties specific to this type of research will be communicated to you in good faith from the first exchange.
payment terms
payment terms (amount, schedule, accepted payment method) are specified in each quote. unless otherwise agreed, a deposit may be requested before the service begins, with the balance due according to the agreed terms.
cancellation and refunds
any cancellation request must be sent in writing as soon as possible. refund conditions depend on how far the service has progressed at the time of cancellation and are specified in each quote.
if we are unable to deliver all or part of the agreed service (force majeure, unavailability of a local contact, etc.), we will inform you as soon as possible and offer an alternative solution or a proportional refund of amounts already paid for the unfulfilled part.
your responsibilities
you agree to provide accurate and complete information necessary for the proper execution of the service, to respect local codes of conduct and instructions provided during trip preparation, and to obtain any travel or health insurance appropriate to your personal situation.
limitation of liability
to the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for events beyond our reasonable control (weather conditions, decisions by local authorities, acts of third parties, force majeure) affecting the course of your trip. our liability, where engaged, is limited to the amount actually paid for the service in question.
governing law
these terms are governed by the laws of Benin. in the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution before any legal action.
changes to these terms
we may update these terms periodically. the terms applicable to your service are those in effect at the time your quote is accepted.
